The coin goes on a chain with your key and you can insert the coin in the birdhouse so it hangs.
I have a coin file with a blank coin and one with a ladybug on it. (If you would prefer a different animal and can't make it yourself you can message me and ill see if i can make it)
the birdhouse has a hole on the back for wall mounting. I printed the house without supports, the roof does need supports. The roof slides into the house, no glue required.
