Put away the Dremel, I've also struggled to figure out a way to mount a flashlight on the Magpul x-22 backpacker stock.
This solution just bolts to my picatinny rail on the receiver, and sits against it for extra durability. The light now is quickly accessible, and doesn't interfere with the takedown stowage.
It does shadow the barrel slightly, but it's not as noticeable as you might think.
I'll post some photos when I get back to my gun.
Print Notes:
100% Infill, 4mm thick walls and shell.
I found snug fit regular supports work fine, just requires some patience.
Uses 2X M4 35mm bolts, along with 2X M4 nuts.
