The motivation for designing yet another Gridfinity base grid was the hour of print-time and the sub-par angles on the original design. I figured that it's not necessary to extend to grid completely to the top of the 45° angle. Once chopped I realized that the grid could very well be printed upside down and empty to further reduce the print time. I don't have any structural requirements for this so a lightweight structure is optimal

 Print Instructions

Print these upside down (already oriented correctly in STL files)

The main advantage of this model over others is, that it prints quicker. In order to achieve that disable infill, print with two or three perimeters and 0 top layer

Comparing a 4-by-4 grid, using 0.20mm SPEED - Original Prusa MINI & MINI+ Input Shaper *(with 0% infill and 0 top layers) an original Gridfinity base prints in 40 minutes whereas the Eco Grid only takes 29 minutes. In a real world scenario, like an IKEA Alex drawer filled with a 7x12 grid (3x 3x4, 2x 2x4 and 2x 4x4), that's 2h34min to 3h32min.

 Post-Prcessing

The last print move on each isle may leave a pointy bit, use sand paper to bring it down for a completely flat contact plane
