The main use I found for these so far, and the reason I made them in the first place, is for binding the leads of my multimeter together in a locked twist. Decreases tangles drastically with no downsides. Can't say I have ever measured something with terminals 2 meters apart.

Should be useful for other things too

This model can be customized by the following parameters:

  • WallThickness (1mm default)
Controls the thickness of the S wall. I found 1mm (2 lines with my printer configuration) is a good balance for being strong while easy to stretch to clip the cable inside
  • CableThickness (3.55mm default)
The thickness of the cable, which will translate to the diameter inside the two cable slots. Does not account for tolerance
  • Length (30mm default)
The length of the clip, measured from the ends of where the cables exit
  • ApertureAngle (110° default)
Angle of the opening between a line between the center of both circles and where the clip ends. Higher values make it easier to insert the cable, but may not hold them properly in place. Lower values can increase the difficulty of clipping the cable in, and increasing the chance of breaking the clip or damaging the cable. But it won't go anywhere if successful
  • TwistsPerDecimeter (2 default)
How many full twists to perform at the longways axis every 10cm. Setting to 0 makes it parallel

Works better with more elastic filaments, like ABS or PETG.
