Yes, you read this right you can 3D print the runner for your zipper (also named slider)! No need to replace your whole zipper or struggle with clip on sliders that never fit right.
Get your callipers out and start measuring!
Width base - The inner bottom width of the runner where the zipper connect to each other.
Width top - The inner top width, where you feed the zipper in
Height - The overall height of your slider
Depth - This is the space inside the slider you can dial this in to get the perfect fit
Thickness - The overall thickness of the runner, you can beef this up if you think it is needed.
Slot thickness - these are the slot your zipper rides on to prevent it from slipping out
Slot distance - this is the distance of the slots from each other, this needs to be larger than the thickness of your fabric
Loop thickness - The thickness of the loop
Brim - build in brim only on the outside, makes it more stable to print and easier to clean up, make this the height of your initial layer
