OP1we base fixed dimensions and accuracy.stl is the currently working one

OP1we base (bottom what ever you call it)
Traced part

Just traced (imo) important bits from the original base of the mouse. Haven't tested much. Just a "beta" release here to release my first project in Thingiverse.

Project updates:

22/10/2024

Flexing fixed for scroll wheel presses, scroll wheel support distances needs to be widen 0,5mm torwards encoder and it's for next model version. Front hooks moved 0,5mm back and gave stronger hooks, but now the hooks hit hotswappable m1 m2 switches. Use knife to cut top of the hooks that hit the swappable switches to fit them better. Less bending. Could use more universal support from USB to Sensor and to the power switch.

Update 18/10/2024

OP1we bohja-HoneyComb.007 latest and total weight 52g. Please use this. It's worth it I guess

Update 16/10/2024

download latest: **OP1we base fixed dimensions and accuracy.stl**

Fixed. Dimensions are correct, I don't know how I measured them incorrectly. Fit's perfectly. All of them. Sharing Blender files asap or when I am willing to share them

Update 08/10/2024

Update minor things. OP1we bohja-USB koukkuOut.005.stl is latest. Adjustments and found out that the PCB should be around 0.25 - 0.5mm higher and sameish torwards the nose / USB to give space for scroll wheel to not hit the M1 and M2 buttons when pressing them down and scrolling. 2 Main screws needs wider holes / better positions. Many minor issues again but will see if I ever finish this project.

Fixed stability of the mouse. More grip from the base to the shell of the mouse and corrected few places and added support beams

Update 03/10/2024

OP1we bohja-RullaVasen.012.stl is latest and fixed scrollwheel position. I don't know why it was funky but it's not now. Straight(er) than ever before. Other minor adjustments and tests.

Update: 23/06/2024

OP1we bohja-RullaVasen.010.stl

Fixed flexing. And overall it's just better. Still problems when using USB cable. But thank god utility knife is invented.

Update: 25/03/2024

  • OP1we_bohja_NonHexFix_not-tested.stl IS ACTUALLY TESTED AND WORKING

OP1 8K? users may soon enjoy remixed model from user cOoLm0Dz at thingiverse or from Printables.com

  • Opened dusty .blend file and changed few parts. I figured the middle part is weak / hex is stupid and weak for this kind of design. Changed those and currently testing Non HoneyComb / Hexagonal shaped design.
  • Not gonna lie this isn't LIGHTWEIGHT anymore or I don't target it lightweight. Just a replacement part. Doing designs without proper engineering softwares is hard. Really need to get into FreeCAD or something else to create these project, but Blender is my soul.
  • Important: Total weight of Non-Hex version is: 53.92 g
  • Stock OP1we weight is ~58.5 g
  • 4 grams HUGE improvement not gonna lie
  • Please notice the sarcasm

Update: 12/02/2024

"OP1we bohja_V3.stl" is working newest version.

"OP1we bohja_lastestHexa.stl" is latest version that has hexagon pattern on bottom and slightly fixed screw hole positions and other minor things. Added supports to connect shell that helps with some of the flexing that occures when gripping.

Total weight: 52.34 g

Keeping it in "WIP" for now or forever. I finally measured the scrolwheel distance correctly and now the scroll is centered and working.

I have created this with Blender and CAD Sketcher. First big project I made. I broke my base's board screwholes and thought I could try to make new base. Weeks tried to measure and test print about 30? bases because I can and I am noobie and could start taking better pictures to trace and better flow for the work.

Now I can say with confidence, this V3 base works. It's only missing DPI button, but I can live without it. USB-C is kind of tight fit and should be fixed, but I might forget this project and try other mice in the future.

Noticed things:

Sensor needs support?

Power_Switch may need space / move torward bottom screws.

DPI switch not found

  • Sides still flex due not having enough support on shell.
