I wanted a simple clean way to run solar cables to the top of my GFC camper. So I created these simple clips that latch into the extruded frame channels to hold the cable in place.
The ‘U’ shaped model is to clip into the extruded channel. It simply presses into the channel around the cable. Note that this was designed specifically for my cable size. If the cable used is smaller these clips may not stay in place as well. The cable used is 12 or 14 gauge landscape wire in an outer braided sleeving. To remove these clips, they have to be pinched which can take some pressure. I can press sideways with a flat head screw driver to remove one side at a time. Plyers can also be used but they might mar the surface more.
The 2nd model is to clamp/hold the cable on a flat surface. Attach 3M foam body panel tape to the clip, then press onto the surface.
These clips were printed in PETG.
I have had them in place for a couple of years now with no issues and they have not come out.
