This wall mount only works if you want to mount your bike around a corner (best for people living in weird apartments like mine).
You roll your bike up the hallway, hold your rear brake, and lean the bike back. Once it's upright, you set the brake handle into the divot in the mount and wrap the rubber tubing over it. It hooks into the “hook” on top and maintains tension on the brake lever, stopping the bike.
You'll need to test the process for your specific bike before you mount it since getting the right height is crucial. You want the bike to balance on the rear wheel so that almost zero load is put on the mount itself.
It is shockingly secure, and since the bike rests on the floor, there's no limit to how much weight it can hold (since all it does is stop the bike from tipping over, not lifting it).
I used this rubber tubing from Amazon: https://a.co/d/fZNjPul
You'll need to adjust the tied length to get enough tension to securely hold the brake lever while not pinching your finger when parking it.
Because the tire sits on the floor, I'd recommend a piece of plywood or cardboard to be put underneath to protect your carpet/floor :)
