I didn't like the sliding mechanism and the way the hooks covered part of the screen so I removed the hooks and added a friction fit connection for the phone. This is designed specifically to fit the iPhone 15 Pro Max with the Pitaka MagEZ case. It works perfectly with this case but will need to be adjusted to suit your case. Use a vernier calliper to measure the exact width of your phone in the case and then adjust the model to be that exact width. Any wider and there won't be enough friction to hold it in place.
When installing on the controller, put the top of the controller in first and then snap in the bottom.
