I'm a mechanic by trade. I don't have a back scratcher at work. Usually I find I'm reaching for a screwdriver or pry bar to get the job done. Most tools designed for dorsal itch relief look like toys, they have whimsical shapes like doll hands on the ends of a stick with a not especially comfortable handle. Some are simply too wide at the business end and don't go after the affected area with enough precision.
I thought I could make something that works better than a screwdriver or pry bar, but still feels just as good in the hand. I don't need it to be collapsible, just look like I bought it from a tool truck and am still making payments, and be sturdy and work well.
The business end is designed with a rough surface. It has 24 tetrahedrons arrayed in a hexagon that are sharp enough to get the job done quickly and efficiently. It is nearly 5 times better at relieving an itch on my back as scratching with my fingernails, and long enough that it can reach anywhere I need it to.
This prints in two parts, and will fit on a Prusa Mini using the included g code. It works best when assembled so that the triangular handle points in the same direction as the scratcher (see photos).
If you have a mini or other printer with a 180mm x 180mm print bed, print the 9.23" scratcher. Its plenty long enough. However If you have a prusa mk3 or mk4, I have included a 12" version of the scratcher part which may be even better for some individuals.
Simply print out both part (no supports needed), slip the scratcher into the handle, and I'm sure you know how to use it. Tolerances are good enough that at least on my prusa mini using the included g code it goes together easily and wont come apart without some effort.
