Fume extractor for soldering

This fume extractor with a relatively large fan is quite powerful. Turning on and off is done by plugging and unplugging it, simple and compact.

The shroud / filter part fits 4 magnets, while the fan part fits 4 screws. I found this to be a very simple connector that works well.

This version includes the dowel connections I forgot in the pictured first print :-)

Parts needed:

• 120 mm Cooling fan, outer dimensions 120 x 120 x 38 mm
• Carbon filter such as Aliexpress item 32999145756. It may have to be cut to 12x12 cm.
• 5.5x2.1 mm socket such as item 33024078552
• 4 magnets 5x2mm
• 4 wood screws 3x20mm
• I like to add rubber anti slip bumbers on my prints as well
