This is a drop in modification (no shell cutting required) for the adventure force desperado to convert from a 6 shot cylinder to a chain at least 10 darts long, but probably much more (shown in the image are 30 and 21 darts respectively). The links are ribbed, somewhat like the inverse of a bamboo dart to allow a greater range of dart tolerances, while also allowing the user to shotgun two half darts. I have found the links to offer better dart fit and therefore marginally better performance than the stock cylinder, however this may vary depending on the condition of your darts and the tuning of your printer.
The chain comes in two variants, an open one which allows either front or rear loading, and a blocked one which only allows front loading, but has a backstop to prevent loading darts too far in.
There are files both for individual links and blocks of 6 links. The blocks are arranged in such a way that they should not need support. Individual links and the center sprocket should be printed with supports (ideally tree supports).
The links are assembled using 1.75mm filament as pins. The tolerances between the links are pretty tight, so I recommend printing just one block links, or a few individual links first, and adjusting the XY hole compensation in your slicer if needed. It wasn't for my printer, but your machine may be different. You will also need flush cutters to cut your pins and clean up the support interfaces on the links (or the interfaces between each link if you printed the six link blocks), and a hammer to install the pins with.
Finally, while not required, I recommend also adding a 10-20mm spacer and a stronger trigger return spring for better performance and reliability. In the future, I would like to make a print in place version of the chain, but it may not be possible due to the limited area between the links.
