Seagate GoFlex brand backup drive has a removable USB 3.0 base that can be used as a USB to SATA connector. For years I've used the USB for years to copy data from old drives or clone a system by carefully connecting everything hoping not to break things.
This is a set of purpose built adaptors to securely connect HDD to the USB3.0 base.
