I wanted to create a button box to interact with the FlyByWire A320 in Microsoft Flight Sim 2020. This panel has been styled like the overhead lighting panel and features some similar elements, but I wanted to add some other startup buttons into the same panel.
The panel is designed to be printed with multimaterial to allow for the multiple colors needed for the text and lines. The panel file will import with MANY different bodies, but they have been labeled either “Text”, “Lines”, or “Inside”. The Text and Lines should be printed in white and Inside should be printed in the same color as the panel.
It's designed to be connected to the WinWing A320 FCU, so there are holes on each side that allow it to be directly attached with m5 bolts and to be attached with the WinWing feet. I may eventually add holes on the back and top/bottom to allow additional attachment points for other accessories.
You will need 4 m3 heat-set inserts and 4 m3 machine screws to attach the front panel to the enclosure.
I've used the following buttons and switches in this panel:
3-6v Illuminated Momentary LED Self Resetting Buttons (Red, Green, and Yellow)
On Off Latching Toggle Switches
On Off On Latching Toggle Switches
Plum 15mm Rotary Encoder with switch
These are then wired to an Arduino 2560 R3 with a set of terminal block hats.
The Arduino is flashed with mobiflight to interact with MSFS.
I've decided to share the .f3d file if anyone would like to alter the panel to fit their needs. Please respect the license and only share as remixes with attribution.
