The model's author, Scatterthought, mentioned storing their original-design Razer Kiyo cover on their desk when not in use - which helped as a reminder to replace it on the webcam when done. Unfortunately, my desk is horribly cluttered and a suboptimal storage location.
The symmetry of Scatterthought's elegant design made me think, “why don't I just rotate it 180° and store it on the webcam?” Slightly more work than a pivoting or sliding door - but no moving parts!
All it took was moving the privacy flap away from the body of the cover enough to fit around the weird protrusion on the back of the Kiyo. I also made a version with front-side cutouts to let most of the ring light through (if you use it; I find the cam works fine without).
And, as a bonus, in the “open” position the cover serves as a mini lens hood to block light from my over-monitor desk light.
Prints just the same orientation as the original, 2 walls, 0% infill.
