Counter Board!

You may glance at this model and think “is that Connect 4”? Close, but no. Well, you could technically use it for Connect4…let's get back to the model.
This board system is inspired by the Connect 4 board game and has been reconfigured to provide a visual process to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Counting up to a million is possible with this version. Like Connect 4, you can add ‘coins’ to columns and block indicators to empty columns, plus a removable coin collector to collect the coins. Or don't use the coin collector. Relive the chaos of dropping the coins and watching them scatter. Up to you.
Let's start with how addition works in this model with 9+1.

The column on the right consists of ‘ones’ and the corresponding column consists of ‘tens’. Adding nine coins to the ones column causes that column to become full. When you try to add 1 more coin to that column, it will not fit and needs to be carried over to the tens column.

To complete this transition, drop the coin into the tens column and empty the ones column. There will only be one coin left in the board and can be read a one ten, or just ten.

If the column had five coins, it can be read as five tens, or fifty.
Legs are printed separately to minimize print volume on print bed and are removable once placed into the board counter.
The quarter sized coin file is a replica of quarters. If you do not want to use the quarter sized coin file, quarters can be used as well.
The coin collector is an open box to catch the coins when they fall. Over 90 coins can be neatly stacked within the coin collector.
The blocker indicators holds the coins in the columns and have two different numbers on the front and top. The number on the front displays the 'ones', ‘tens’, 'hundreds', and furthermore column units, while the top number tells you the value added when you complete a ‘carry the one’ operation. Blocker indicators can be pushed into and pulled out of slots.
The fully assembled model takes up 10.75 (h) x 7.625 (w) x 5.5 (d), while the counter board itself is 9.0 (h) x 7.625 (w) x 0.5 (d).
If your printer is not able to print the full height of the counter board, there are splitted body versions of them. One contains the bottom to the offset plane which is between 3 and 4. The other portion goes from the offset plane to the top. The height of the bigger portion is 5.9 and the other one is 3.1
