Diamond X30A painter's pole mount

A telescoping painter's pole makes a good antenna mast that can be quickly deployed in the field for amateur radio. This adapter will attach a Diamond X30A antenna to a threaded painter's pole (based on ¾" x 5 Acme thread). It might work for other Diamond base station antennas as well.

I was inspired by this design but I was concerned about the small layer cross-section, so I made my own version designed to print horizontally. For further protection against layer splitting, you could wrap strong tape around the mount. Print as oriented in the STL, with the square hole on the top face of the hexagonal mount; this is where the coaxial feedline will exit. You will probably want to thread the coax through first, attach it to the antenna, and then push the antenna into the mount. There is a hole on one of the other faces for a single bolt into the antenna base – optional, but will prevent it from rotating.

I printed in PETG because it's less brittle than PLA and will also hold up to UV exposure, although I don't intend to use this for a permanent install. A harder TPU could be a good choice as well.
