Description

The SK35H module is an extremely cheap variable power supply module purchasable on Aliexpress for around 6GBP.

I designed this to work with any old laptop power supply wired to it, which makes it great for hobbyists who want a lab bench power supply but cant afford a premade power supply.

Print settings

Printed with ELEGOO PLA+ with no supports.

Assembly

Parts required:

  • SK35H DC Power supply module (purchasable on aliexpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006387669453.html)
  • DC power supply up to 35V (I used a 19V laptop power supply)
  • 2 alligator clip wires or banana connectors (there are different screw in inserts for banana connectors)

Parts printed:

  • Main case body
  • Case back
  • 1x power supply input fixing
  • 2x power supply output fixing for 2mm thick wire or banana connector sockets (outer diameter 8.5mm)

Strip the wires of the DC power supply you are going to use to power the SK35H.

Screw the wires into the module, making sure that the wires are threaded through the back of the case to the front, so that the SK35H can be slotted in properly.

Insert the SK35H into the main case body, making sure it is pressed fully in.

There are 3 small wire fixings that screw into the back and front of the case.

Slot the correct wires into each, make sure to connect all the wires together.

Before fixing the case backing on, test the power supply. This ensures that you don't need to take everything apart if the power supply isn't functioning correctly.

After that, screw the fixings into the case parts and use glue, a soldering iron, or even tape to glue the back of the case on.
