The door button on my LG microwave stopped working, because it is designed to connect to some very weak plastic tabs that act as a hinge. In my case, the plastic tabs broke off, and the button no longer worked reliably.
I designed this part to be forcefully “snapped in" to the existing bracket area, but if you only have one tab broken on your microwave, you will need to break off the other one so this piece will fit.
This youtube video (not mine) demonstrates the problem and one possible repair. The uploader repaired theirs by replacing the control panel unit, which involved disassembling the unit and using security Torx screwdrivers to remove the outer frame. The replacement part was also quite expensive ($125+).
If you're careful you can use a flat-headed screwdriver to release the latches on the button (see the video) from the front of the unit, and then push this replacement part in, without requiring any disassembly of the main unit.
Should work for any of these LG Microwave models: lmc1575bd lmc0975st lmc2075bd lmc2075st, but I only tested it on the one I own, so YMMV.
