When you are on camp the scouts can make friends and bond in down time before dinner while they are supposed to be cleaning their tents… LOL
The balls take a huge whack and while a new ball on a string is only $4 for the knock off it takes time to be posted while you all have a fishing hook swivel. Some paracord and old tennis balls knocking around for free.
Drill a 10mm hole in the tennis ball (not near the tennis ball seams).
Tie the knot inside the ball to be a double loop overhand knot.
Use a fishing swivel or similar 3d printed (send me a note if you have an idea of what the best 3d print would be for that to help others)
1.3 meters of paracord for the cord (this includes the amount of cord you will lose once the knots are tied and the working end still hanging out a few cm from the end of each knot…
I have included 2 versions. Just print the short version with support at 100& infill as it is going to get the stuffing knocked out of it.
White is what comes with the ball
Black is the high stem
Orange is V2 and easy to find in the grass and has the stem sitting flush with the ball like the original.
