Xmas Tree Light Frame

Holiday season is fast aproaching so decided to design a frame that will hold festive LED lights.

There is two versions of the model, One free standing and the other in a pot.

To Make this model as shown you will need the following stainless steel rods: 

QTY 9  1000mm long

QTY 8 207mm long  (Not needed for Pot Version)

QTY 8 150mm long

QTY 8 105mm long  (QTY 16 needed for Pot version)

QTY 8 75mm long

All rods 2.4mm diameter.

I purchased 1 1KG pack of SS TIG welding rods from my local Screwfix depot.

In addition you will need Fairy Lights at least 10 Metres long,  12 Metres is better!

I used Garland Cluster lights that were 12.4 Metres long, 960 LED's and very happy with the way they worked out.

You can affix these along the 1 metre rods  or spiral them around or any combination you see fit.  plus some cable ties to fix the lights to the frame.

I have included step files should you wish to modify the parts. to accept bigger rods etc.

N.B. If using the lights outdoors please follow manufacturers guidance on their suitability to outside use and any safety advice. if in any doubt, contact a qualified electrician.
