A significant number of these units have dodgy light buttons, you can turn the light on but not off again!

Hard to imagine a simpler design than this! Still, someone might look it up and see if it's been done before firing up the CAD program. If that's you - here it is :o)

My tower extension is one of the ones with a dodgy light. I don't need the light, I bought it for the fact that is has really good proper switches controlling each of 4 pairs of sockets around the block rather than wobbly buttons like many others have. Unfortunately the light control button in the top is really terrible, and I can turn it on with one click but no matter how gently or hard I tap it to try and turn it off, it takes umpteen clicks before it reacts (if at all) and I don't want the light permanently on.

The plan was never to touch it again once I got the light to go off. But nah, I caught it accidentally while putting a plug in, and 10mins of stabbing at the button later I got it to turn off and immediately reached for Fusion360!

Any settings will do, any material, it's just to stop your finger going anywhere near that darn button. Blutack/Whitetack it to the light so it covers the button, job done.
