“The Cradle”
I was sick and tired of my Audient Evo 4 shuffling around my desk… As someone who only has this interface for an overkill XLR mic utilized at my remote job, I haven't cared enough about aesthetics, until now. Given that the options for a nice stand was effectively zero, I took matters into my own hands. I didn't want a mere wedge that would tilt the unit, I wanted a cradle.
The unit is held firmly in place by both gravity and friction.
PLEASE NOTE:
The Front ¼" ports for headphone jack, and line input are completely blocked
Which for many users, will be fine, as the headphone amp/dac are quite noisy.
ALL PORTS ON THE BACK ARE EASILY ACCESSIBLE
Print-sperience
The pictured unit was printed with default settings on my Bambu Labs P1S (in some PLA from microcenter). It is more or less a perfect interference fit, but I will likely update the model with a “looser” fit.
Sidenote(s):
If you have an EVO 8 and want this adapted, let me know, we might be able to work something out.
If you want the front ports to be accessible.. perhaps I will be motivated to figure something out if you comment.. (or I will just do it, whichever comes first)
The ports being accessible however, will likely force the unit to be taller, or angled less. Not sure which makes the most sense atm.
