Vortex Spitfire 3x Scope/Optic Killflash ARD

This is a 2 part model that is easy to print and assemble. The killflash itself is designed by another and then I customized it for this application. I customized it with 0.25mm walls and it is meant to be printed with a 0.2-0.25mm nozzle. You could use a 0.4mm nozzle, just enable "print thin walls' in your slicer and expect to have a thicker grid section. I printed mine in PLA+ and reduced the flow down to 94% which eliminated any stringing inside the grid. No supports needed. I printed at a temperature in about the lower midrange of the suggested print temps for the PLA+ and reduced cooling to 75%.

I then made a simple slip fit collar in Google Sketchup to hold the kill flash. It is just a simple hollow cylinder with an end stop. Print with the endstop towards the buildplate. No supports needed. The slip flit collar is printed from TPU and designed snug. It will slip over the optic without excessive effort but will retain. If you don't have TPU you could resize this in small increments until you get a snug fit with PLA or PETG.  I used fuzzy skin with settings of Fuzzy Skin Thickness of 0.2mm and a Fuzzy Skin Point Distance of 0.2mm. I used a 0.4mm nozzle. I printed at the hotter end of the suggested print temps for the TPU and used no cooling.
