Do you have a Razer Naga Pro with the 2-button or 6-button attachment, and the thumb pad is wearing out?
Sure does suck that they don't have a replacement for sale besides an entire new mouse, doesn't it?
- Remove the existing thumbpad. My best solution is to use a thin flathead screwdriver to get under the pad, slowly pull it up from the edges, and remove it that way. This is a destructive operation and you will probably not be able to cleanly remove all of it. This is not a good solution! It's just the best solution I have. Leave a comment if you have a better solution.
- Print this. You'll want a flex filament. I used eSun 83A because I wanted something soft; honestly, it should maybe be even softer than this, but it's hard to find even softer filaments that aren't an insane price. Obviously you will need a printer capable of printing flex filaments. I used a 0.4mm nozzle; this might justify a smaller nozzle just so you can get two layers on the bed instead of one, it's pretty fragile to take off.
- Attach it to the mouse. I used garden-variety double-sided Scotch tape, trimmed with kitchen scissors. Seems to be working for now! Remember you want something that both holds it securely and lets you easily remove it again later when you need to replace it again, which you probably will, so avoid, like, crazy high-end epoxies.
- Yay
