designed it today with 4 goals - a sturdy base but de-bulked aperture, a positive stop to ensure proper seating and maintain alignment, a ridged base to ensure effortless removal and and indexing mark for measuring from the objective end without removing the hood. I think I got all four requirements met. I printed a few samples for friends and definitely preferred the stronger, less shiny PLA pro plus that I use a lot. I printed them with the worst settings because I wanted them to look good, but it took hours. I used organic supports and printed it upright.
