A template for modifying a Canon RF lens cap so that it can be screwed on from multiple angles.

With the Canon RF mount you have to align the cap and the lens perfectly. The cap only fits in a single position. This can be hard to do when you are in a rush.
I created a template that shows which parts of the lens cap ridges have to be removed.
In this picture you can see the lens cap ring in all three positions in unlocked and locked state. The black line on top is the position of red dot which has to be aligned between lens and cap.
The lens cap fits on the lens in any position. And is still held on by all three ridges when locked.
I also added the ring as a stl so you can try it before cutting. When printed the top of the ring goes towards the lens.
The template has a small stopper which has to be put on the left of the biggest ridge and turned clockwise until it is at the ridge. The open spaces show which parts have to be removed.
