We got a Hauck baby gate (Clear Step Autoclose 2) and are very happy with it. The only issue arises in the middle of the night: the gate makes noise as the mechanisms locks in place. To avoid awakening baby, here is a simple stopper to slide in position to keep the gate from closing entirely. If not in use, you can flip it upwards and it holds in place with frixtion. It is not perfect, but it works currently with our baby.
The stopper was printer in TPU, so it might be that the tolerances are not perfect if you are printing it in a non flexible filament.
