This is an extended draw (125mm) remix of the 2.1 Lynx Blaster that uses a *mostly* standard hardware kit and is designed to pair with my Toolless Tensioner System parts and use Deathtree's PKI Lynx Remix parts to fill in the remaining pieces.  Other parts may be compatible, but I can't guarantee any compatibility outside of what I designed and tested it with.

The design is remixed from Orion Blasters' Lynx 2.1 and Deathtree's PKI Lynx Remix parts.

Be mindful of your priming grip choice and priming hand position - you may run into pinchy issues depending on your specific combination.

Note: This is designed to fit a 6x7mm Ball Detent in the Pump part, but this has not been tested yet.

Required Hardware/Modifications (Outside of Standard Lynx 2.1 Hardware):

  • 1x ~64mm long aluminum tube with 5/8" OD and 0.527" ID - this is the stock Plunger Guide but cut shorter
  • 1x 7"/180mm long K25 or K26 spring
  • See Toolless Tensioner System

Included Parts:

  • Pump - This is modified from the Lynx 2.1 Pump to allow for the additional draw length without cycling the Ram an obscene distance and to not hit the receiver at full draw; this also fits a 6x7mm Ball Detent (but that has not been tested).
  • Catch 1 - This is modified from the Lynx 2.1 Catch 1 to have internal clearance for the HIJINX Plunger Rod Tail and also the Roboman Lynx Nut (which is optional but recommended).
  • Catch 3 - This is modified from the Lynx 2.1 Catch 3 to allow for the additional draw length and to also fit and guide a K25 or K26 spring; a special feature is the addition of 3 slots that can be filled with sections of 4mm OD PTFE tubing to act as low friction guides against the inside of the plunger tube.
  • Plunger Spacer - This is modified from the Lynx 2.1 Plunger Spacer to relocate the catch nut closer to the plunger head and it has been reworked to fit a K25 or K26 spring; this also has 2 versions: "Reduced ID" version is intended to be threaded for a very solid but more difficult plunger assembly style (which I prefer) & “Regular Loose Fit” version has a 4.3mm ID which is more in-line with the standard Lynx style.
  • Plunger Rod Tail - This is a new part to extend the plunger assembly so that it always remains inside the Plunger Guide, and it turns out this does the exact same thing as the Lonx's “Component546”; this part has not been tested yet because I tried the Component546 in my build and have been too lazy to swap it out.
  • Plunger - This is modified from the Lynx 2.1 Plunger with a Reduced ID that is intended to be threaded for a very solid but more difficult plunger assembly style (which I prefer); this can be substituted with a standard ID Lynx 2.1 Plunger if that is preferred.
  • Barrel Spacer - This is a new part that slips over the barrel and has a notch to fit against the front takedown pin; this part is optional and won't be usable if your barrel is on the short side, but this may help reduce barrel wobble depending on your configuration.
  • HACKED PKI Shroud - This is a modified PKI Lynx Remix Shroud with the lower edges smoothed (filled in) to suit my priming hand position preference; try it if you like the more basic look or if you are concerned about your priming hand.

Updates:

  • 2024-12-01 - Added missing Catch 3 files.
