Solid Shampoo Bars Meet the Perfect Companion: The Shampoo Box
Solid shampoo bars have become a go-to choice for many, thanks to their eco-friendly and convenient benefits. They help conserve water, reduce plastic waste, last longer, and are easy to carry. However, one common challenge persists:
How do you store and transport them without hassle?
That’s where my custom-designed shampoo box comes in! Thoughtfully designed to address this challenge, the box is made up of three functional parts:
- Base: The sturdy foundation of the box.
- Grid: Suspended above the bottom of the base, it allows the shampoo bar to dry after use.
- Lid: A screw-on top that securely closes the box for effortless transport and storage.
With this shampoo box, you’ll never have to worry about messy storage or transportation again. Take your solid shampoo bars wherever you go—well stored and always ready for use!
This is also a perfect gift for family members and friends!
Important Notes
- While the lid and base provide a snug fit, they are not completely watertight. If water remains in the base or the shampoo bar is freshly used, there is a slight risk of leakage. The box is best for transporting a dry shampoo bar.
- The box has an inner diameter of 80 mm, making it ideal for most shampoo bars slightly smaller in size.
Personalization
- Choose from a variety of grid patterns to suit your style.
- Make the box your own by printing the parts in your favorite and potentially different colors! I chose white for the base and grid to keep shampoo traces less visible, but the choice is yours to mix and match.

Easy Printing
You can print all parts without any supports. Base and lid should be printed with the large flat surface facing the print plate.
The box is designed to fit comfortably on the print plate of a Prusa Mini or any similar printer, allowing you to print all three parts in a single run.
