INTRO

It's a classic game, mostly made of wood.

I had one when I was little, it was a frog, a long time ago, it must be in the attic ^^.

We therefore have a simple game to print and assemble.

You will need 2 M4 inserts + two 20 mm screws to assemble the legs and 3 mm rope, approximately twice 2 meters or less (I bought the rope at Action, DIY section).

FILES

All parts are available separately or as a set in stl.

“Demo” files in 3mf with settings and color change. You can start from this base and modify.

Printable on Mini too.

PRINT

PLA / Nozzle 0.4 mm / Height 0.2 mm / 3 perimeters / Honeycomb filling 15%.

Rudolph Foot Supports:

I put the Demo files in 3mf with these settings and the color changes saved:

White : 0-15 mm

Brown : 15.2 mm à 15.6 mm

Red : 15.8 mm and next (Rudolph's nose is in relief).

AND for the arch: Change to 15.2 mm

ASSEMBLY

Print the different parts.

Insert the inserts into the body then screw in the legs, don't forget the washers.

Screw without excessive force but lock the screws. There must be some play left for the legs to turn freely.

Then cut the rope to the desired length (between 1.5 m and 2 m) depending on where you are going to install Rudolph.

Pass the 2 ropes through the holes: arch, Rudolph's legs and the ball on each side.

Tie 3 knots on each side (see photo) and depending on your rope, double the knot to increase its thickness.

LET'S PLAY

Hang the arch. I added a hook to install Rudolph on a door. To resize if necessary.

Provide a door stop / door wedge (you have plenty on Printables).

Do not reduce the height of the hook, this allows it to be held on the door (I tested, version 1 was shorter, I caught it in my face from pulling on the rope ^^). Version 2 remains in place. you can stick pads on the hook to prop and protect your door.

To raise Rudolph: pull left then right (or vice versa) while gradually spreading your hands to keep Rudolph higher and higher!

There is NO need to pull HARD but alternate left/right, spreading your arms gradually.

To bring it back down, parallel ropes… and we start again!

DECORATION

For decoration, you can use shorter screws, 12 mm for example, to block Rudolph's legs in this case.

Have fun and Merry Christmas!

INTRO

IMPRESSION

PLA / Buse 0.4 mm / Hauteur 0.2 mm / 3 périmètres / Remplissage nid d'abeille 15 %.
