I got this micrometer at an auction with several other tools. Then discovered it did not have a cover for the battery compartment. Kind of a pain having to use one finger to hold the battery in place every time I need to measure something.
I searched everywhere to see if I could find a printable for this micometer, but came up with nothing, So I decided to expand my knowledge and get familiar with Fusion 360 Personal.
The first two iterations were not quite right, but by the third print, it fit perfect.
I really enjoyed the design and test phase, but got to tell you , when you test it and it fits like you expect, it's a good feeling.
I fully expect that this will not be a popular design. How many people have this unbranded micrometer and also need a battery cover for it.
If you are in that group of folks, then I hope this helps you out. I don't know how long it will last, so you better print a couple of them, only takes about 7 minutes to print.
