This project is a unique and functional wedding gift in the form of a 3D-printed mini ATM. The idea was to create a memorable and interactive way to present money as a gift, combining practical components with a custom-built housing.
The internal mechanics rely on a low-cost "money gun" sourced from China, from which I repurposed the motor and transport roller. This provided a foundation for the bill transport system, which I adapted for this custom build.
To replicate the robust feeling of a real ATM, I used a sturdy steel keypad as the input device. For the card interaction, I integrated a generic micro switch to detect when a card is inserted.
The display is a 4-inch TFT screen, providing visual feedback to users. All components are controlled by an ESP32-D1 Mini, which acts as the brains of the operation.
This particular design is calibrated to work with €5 notes and has been successfully tested with 120 bills.
