This is a medium sized birdhouse that can be used as a Geocache itself or to hold a small sized container inside for extra protection.
Slots on the back allow a strap or length of rope to be threaded through to attach the birdhouse around a mounting point. While a hole on the top allows for either an eyebolt (pictured) or a loop of knotted rope to hang the birdhouse from a branch.
The door is held in place with a pair of common nails acting as a hinge. The inside of the birdhouse body and the edge of the door have slots to accept a trio of 8x2 sized rare earth magnets to hold the door shut in windy conditions.
All told a length of robe, two nails and some magnets are all that is needed to create your own instances of this geocaching birdhouse.
