This is my best approximation of the famous Metmo Cube seen online. The original is a precision machined piece of steel with such tight tolerances that its buttons disappear when fully depressed.  And the air pressure from pushing one in pops the other out.

You can get similar results with careful wet-sanding of this model.

NOTE!: YOU MUST SAND THE BUTTON HOLES AND THE BUTTONS UNTIL THEY ARE ABLE TO SLIDE IN AND OUT SMOOTHLY!
Otherwise you will not be able to remove the buttons once they are depressed.
I recommend random seams.

I also recommend a lot of infill or weights added to the inside of the buttons to make removal easier when they’re both pushed flush.

Take your time wet-sanding, one button at a time until there are no catches. The whole point is to be airtight, so if you don’t get this right and they’re both stuck pushed all the way in, you won’t get them out.
