This design/model contains different ways in which to mount/cradle the Framework Mainboard printable case. The different methods all require the main Framework holder model (provided as one of the files).
The main Framework holder has VESA mounting holes in it, to allow for fixing directly into the VESA mounting inserts on the back of a monitor. You can also use the VESA mounting holes to fix the main Framework holder to a wall.
In the event the the VESA mounting holes aren't accessible while your monitor is on its stand, I have made some ‘hook mounts’ (three are needed), that clip on to the main Framework holder to allow it to hook to the edge of a monitor (three hook mount braces need to be printed in addition to the hooks, as they clip over the hook mounts to help keep them attached to the main Framework holder). The screen mount adjusters are just thick blocks that slot onto the end of the hooks to help the hooks hang off of thinner monitors. This method of mounting the Framework mainboard only really works with larger monitors/TVs.
The hooks and the hook braces clip on to the main Framework holder via printed pins on the main Framework holders body. I have not tried these pins, but the dimensions in the model should allow them to work. The Frameworks printable case clips into the main Framework holder by using a flexible clip on the main Framework holders edge. Due to the strength required in the 3D print for the flexible clip, but especially the pins to attach the hooks, The main Framework model should be printed on edge, so the filament runs along these features, not around them (if that makes sense, although this is only an issue with FDM printers. 'Painting' the pins with acetone could also fix the issue). There is a ‘step’ on the end of the pins to help the user push them together using needle nose pliers.
I have continued the air vents from the printable case though to my main Framework holder design and I have also added recessed channels around the vent holes in my model, to allow for air flow if the main Framework holder is mounted to a wall or monitor via the VESA mounting holes, (as the vent holes would become blocked with the recessed channels in these instances).
I have also made a desk stand for the main Framework holder can sit in, (I have continued the holes for wires through the desk stand, for ease of use).
I have uploaded my original solidworks file. Please feel free to adjust it if the design doesn't work for your setup, (feed back would be appreciated in this case). People should be able to open the solidworks file in Fusion 360.
