This was made to help celebrate a comment and a discussion about malicious compliance during a staff meeting.  We kept getting demands from higher levels that did not make sense, yet they would accept no answer but “yes”.  Since we all knew it would end up in a fiery ball of failure, we complied with their request.  One of my supervisors said, “f_ck it, let’s do it”.  So, after some thought, I made this to celebrate the occasion.  It’s obviously not for children given the language, but it proves a point.

It designed to be printed in sections with clear PLA for the letters.  That will allow the LED lights inside to display through the material.  The grenade is a scaled model I made from blueprints and is designed to be printed in three parts and threaded together.  Any set of LEDs would work within the base.  If no lights are needed, then print the letters out of different colored PLA.  This was printed on my older large printer, the Artillery X2.  This was replaced by my X1C which would allow for a single print of multiple colors.  I used actual wood filament for the handle which made the color and texture a little more realistic.  After printing I did some postproduction sanding and painting to make it look more finished.  The base also had processing done to it.  I used some sound deadening foam on the base to help create a light proof bottom.
