About this model

This model was designed in FreeCAD - FOSS (Free and Open-Source Software) 3D parametric modeler. Source file is available.

It is not 100% accurate in details, but proportions are true to original. Requires glue to be assembled. Might also require sandpaper and a file.

You might want to print some parts in different filaments (colors) and for that you can toggle some parts right on the plates to be printed separately.

If you don't need the separate grenade you should also toggle off its parts on “magazine_nade_1” plate (3 parts ending in “ref_*”).

Display buttons should be sanded a bit to move smoothly.

This model features:

  • Detachable magazine;
  • Reloading lever (with rotating charge);
  • Detachable charge (in the back);
  • Moving trigger and buttons;

Updates

15 Feb 2025: Many part were updated: handle and pins are thinner, stock was missing one pin hole, inner barrel parts are shorter and a few other minor changes across many parts.

Compound parts

This parts should be glued before priming and painting.

Barrel. Inner barrel parts should be painted in black inside. Outside will not be visible. Then insert them in outside barrel parts. Be aware that this outside parts have a pattern on the bottom for alignment.

Above barrel.

Below barrel.

Grip and below barrel.

Upper handle.

Reload chamber.

Charge holder.

Cover.

Stock frame.

Assembly steps

Front. Connect upper barrel, barrel, under barrel and grip. These parts should stack vertically.

Add top rail, front barrel part and front “silver” knob.

Grip. Be aware, this part is tricky! Place the grip itself first. Try to carefully insert stock frame and grip frame together and do not forget about the trigger guard part. You should try this without glue first.

Reloading mechanism. This is the most difficult part of this model. First you should assemble the charge (rotating part). It has 3 rings that slide on the core. Notice that rings have groves for alignment.

Chambered nade (there is a plate with all its parts), “charge_lever_3” (dark blue on imgs) and “charge_lever_2” (light blue, only a corner visible here). The nade and the shaft (“charge_lever_3”) for the charging lever mechanism should be glued like this. But before gluing it in place try to fit it. The shaft and the nade should both shay in center and the lever should slide freely. Use sandpaper if needed.

Place “charge_lever_1” (orange) on the shaft ("charge_lever_2", light blue). Try to move the lever back-forth. It should slide easily and the charge should rotate. This should work even without gluing anything (but you can, obviously, glue parts of the nade). Use sandpaper and a file if needed.

Then the lever slides easily you should glue parts together. Be careful not to glue the lever and the charge (rotating part).

Body.

Back. Like with front, the body stacks on top of the grip.

Front and back. Combine two halves together.

Add stock parts and a front cover part.

Cover. Assemble a back cover part. Small knob and small shaft should be able to rotate freely in locked position.
