Simple bracket to hang an inline filter on a standard 5/6/7 gallon bucket. I use this for sieving pottery clay and glaze but it's perfect for homebrewers as well.

I used this filter I got from Amazon. This filter is sold on Amazon under a bunch of different brand names so the exact listing and description doesn't really matter. If it looks like the one below and measures 2 7/8" in diameter at the widest point of the clear cup (ridge to ridge), it should fit.

Here's a picture of the box it came in with the model number and presumably original manufacturer information.

This filter is intended for filtering hops and grain out of wort or wine for homebrewing but I use it for filtering undissolved clumps of clay and glaze mix for pottery.

The filter simply drops in from the top and can be oriented in any direction. The filter will not twist once in place.
The filter I have has more ridges than the one pictured in the Amazon listing. My filter has 16 ridges around the perimeter of the filter. If yours has fewer like the Amazon listing, it should still fit if it has 2, 4, or 8 ridges and are evenly spaced from each other.

This bracket includes a locking feature that prevents the bracket from falling into the bucket. Simply place the M3x12mm bolt as shown and the nut on the inside. Leave the bolt mostly unthreaded before placing onto the bucket top.

Once it's in place, thread the bolt in until you feel it hooking onto the lip of the bucket. All that said, this filter isn't really heavy enough to require it but it's there if you need it.

Print as shown. I printed in PETG with a 0.4mm tip at 0.3mm layer height with 3 top/bottom layers and 3 walls. Sorry in advance for the large 175MB file but I export STLs in high quality and I rounded all the corners on the inside of the filter slot. Curved surfaces make for larger files.
