This adapter allows you to rip the sides of a cardboard esun spool and turn them into a reusable spool for refills.

This adapter allows you to rip the sides of a cardboard esun spool and turn them into a reusable spool. Compatible with esun refills, haven't tested others like bambu. Perfect if you have a printer that doesn't have a large enough bed to print new spools, or if you don't like throwing away your old cardboard spools, thinking that they might get another use eventually.
Compatability:
Does not work with conventional spool holders that go through the hole in the spool. (Thanks u/PerspectiveBest4333 on reddit for bringing this to my attention)
Not sure how this adapter affects ams compatibility, but it's for cardboard spools anyways.
Requires:
- 4x m5 nuts of at least 12mm or longer
- 4x m5 nuts.
- 8x m5 washers (not necessary, but recommended)
Recommended to print the sides at 0.2mm layer height or smaller so the grip spikes are pointy enough. the middle you can print with a larger layer height.
