This is a holder or case for an Echo Dot (3rd Gen). The case has a screw hole in the centre of its base enabling it to be mounted on a wall or a ceiling. (Mine’s fixed to the bathroom ceiling).
Fix the case in your desired location, insert the Dot and screw on the lid which retains the Dot. The four microphone ports are not obscured and a ‘window’ in the wall of the case provides access to the power-in and audio-out sockets.
