When looking for the Cheap Yellow Display online, look for ESP32-2432S028R. It is a 2.8inch display with resistive touch screen that comes with a ESP32 onboard. With the Arduino IDE it is very easy to use it for own applications.
There are 3 different sets of housings in the publication.
Type B is for applications that require only the CYD board with no cables connected for sensors etc. (or sensor cables soldered to the board directly). It is relatively tight around the edges of the board.
Type C has a bit more space around the edges, so you can plug in the tiny connector cables that come with the CYD, to connect sensors (like I did with a air pressure sensor).
Type GPS has the space and the fixture for a BE-220 GPS module (which I like the most among all currently offered GPS modules, despite its higher price, it simply is very sensitive and very precise).
Printing
Printing these parts if very easy. No supports are needed. Just print the parts in the uploaded orientation with standard settings. I used PETG but I guess PLA is fine as well.
