I wanted a more robust and customizable alternative to a pegboard to organize my Dad's workshop, and this solution has worked well for me. As a benchmark for how strong they are, I printed the 50mm hook to hold a smithing hammer out of PLA and it holds up well.
Most of the stuff you need can be 3D printed, but you will need a few things that can be bought at a typical hardware store.
You will need:
- Plywood to screw into or the side of a wooden workbench (if you are only using the plier and screwdriver holders you can get away with screwing into the studs)
- Screws (I used ¾ inch-length standard framing screws)
- For the pliers organizer, you will need ¾ inch pipe or ½ inch rebar and glue.
- For the wooden screwdriver organizer, you will need wood that is cut 30 mm wide or a 1x2 and glue
Directions:
Once you have your piece of plywood (or similar) cut and attached to your wall, I recommend sketching out how you want to organize all your tools. The parts should be printed on their largest side.
The pliers holders are a little more involved as you might need to cut your pipe to size. Then you can install it as shown in this picture.

To complete the screwdriver holder you will need to cut your selected wood to the right dimensions. If you want to do less woodworking you can use a 1x2. Then you will need to drill holes along the length that fit your screwdrivers. Then you install it as shown in this picture. Then attach the wood with a screw on the bottom of the hook to fasten it.

Now you probably want to get to organizing your tools, but if you get stuck or want advice I have some tips to maximize the effectiveness of these organizers
The hooks can be used at different angles to fit odd tools.

A screw can be used to keep tools straight and to stop L-shaped tools falling off.

The wood strip for the wooden screwdriver holder can be attached with wood glue instead of a screw.
