A standard centering cone but with one feature I didn't see in others: recesses cut for keeping seams away from faces that need to be smooth. Seams would otherwise interfere with the centering or the tolerance on the pin hole.
I modeled this for my Dewalt DCW600B palm router but works with openings from 32 mm to 44 mm. It is designed for routers with a ¼" collet.
Layer height should not matter, but I used the default 0.2mm structural setting.
- Insert a ¼" pin or drill bit into the collet and tighten.
- Rest baseplate on the router and loosely insert the screws
- Slide the centering cone into position
- Tighten the screws that attach baseplate to the router while applying light downward pressure on the centering cone.
