I designed these stands for my crawlers so they could be stored without having weight constantly sitting on the tyres in order to prevent flat spots.
These are axle specific options based around the crawlers that I own. Once printed, they can be mounted onto a laser cut sheet metal base stand using M3x6mm screws (.DXF files included for laser cutting), or simply screwed to a suitable length of wood. I use rubber pinchweld strip on the feet of each stand to protect any surface that I sit the stands on. I used 1.2-1.5mm zinc coated sheet.
Printable axle specific stand options include:
- Axial AR60 axle (Wraith, Ridgecrest, etc)
- Axial SCX6
- Axial XR10
- Widened Axial AX10 front (XR10 axle mod)- See photos
- Traxxas TRX-4 (not 1/18 TRX-4M)
- Traction Hobby Cragsman (straight axle version, not portal axle)
2x .DXF files are included if you want to laser cut the base stands from sheet metal. The file labelled “SCX6 stand” is only for the SCX6 axle stands- also I lost the original .DXF that I cut my stand from, so the attached file is one I've redone. It's slightly different to the photos, but it should still fit fine. The file labelled “Crawler stand” suits all of the other axle stands.
I'll add other axle stand options over time as I get around to it.
