In 2013, a calf was rescued from a slaughterhouse near Tel Aviv shortly before his planned death. On his ear tag was written the number “269”.
The number “269” has since become a symbol for antispeciesists struggles and militants, representing resistance to the speciesist oppression as well as a clear statement about the methods to use against this oppression.

As there is a contest going on at the moment around designing models that include numbers, I though I would make one featuring this number.
In recent years though, more and more people have adopted the use of the “269” symbol for questionable reasons. Using it to look cool and attract attention, while stripping it of it's original meaning, purpose and power.
Please print, use and display this model only with good and genuine intentions. It is not a cool prop, a cool accessory. It is the symbol of a calf who very narrowly escaped death, and how he did so.
