A simple thumb splint meant to be held in place with a bandage wrap or medical tape.
Situate with the “ring” at the base of the thumb and wrap tightly with a clean bandage and secure with medical tape to restrain movement in the first knuckle.
This is only meant as a home remedy to assist with healing of a minor injury, if you suspect your injury is severe then see an appropriate medical professional.
(This was designed for what I believed was a sprain or minor injury, as it turned out I had torn a ligament and broken a bone in my thumb so this was doing nothing to help with the injury, always seek medical attention if the injury is suspected to be severe. I am only sharing this model as the attending who first assessed my injury indicated it may have been some help had the injury been in the first knuckle, not the second.)
