Instructions

This bracket was designed for the xStation, and covers all versions of the “phat” PS1 (1000 through 9000, even though xStation doesn't support this at the time, it'll be future compatible if it ever does!)

It's designed as modular system, and the intention had been to make something easy printable along with a simple install (without additional hardware as much as possible)! Everything should be printed flat, and if your printer is calibrated correctly doesn't need supports.

I sorted everything into sub-folders for clarity.

Prints

You have to make sure to pick the right versions for your console. if you have a 1000 model, you need the 1XXX variants, if you have a 5000/7000/9000 range console, you need the 5XXX+ variants.

Basic

You'll need both the “Base_Bracket" and “Top_Bracket” for the right console version you have.

Disk Drive Cover

Depending on whether you want to use an SD extender, you can print any of the “Top_Cover” models. The “Blank” is for when you don't need to access the SD card (much - as it's a snap fit design, you can still pop it off just not as convenient when doing it a lot), otherwise you can print the “SD” version, and choose either one of the SD extender holders “SD” or “microSD”.

Assembly

You need to remove the standoffs from the xStation if you already have it installed, the Bottom Bracket replaces these to keep it in place properly!

Follow the pictures for a visual guide (displayed is the 5XXX version, but same order applies to 1XXX), it's a rather simple sandwich to make: base bracket > xStation > top bracket > extension top piece > close lid > done ;D

Hardware

If you want to print the version with the SD extender, this is the one I have bought (non-affiliate): Micro SD to SD Cable Extender (25cm)

If you want to use a micro SD to micro SD converter, this is the one I used (48cm, bit long so needs careful folding)
