Egg Separator [no support]

I looked at a lot of egg separators. All of them required support to print. All of them had the egg part hanging down from the handle into the bowl. This requires them to be printed upside down with support for the egg part or a ridiculous amount of raft.

This design moves the egg part up and keeps the handle down low, allowing it to be printed upright with no support.

Design

I designed it in Fusion 360 because it handles to curvy egg parts easily.

It has 3 variations:

• One or two cutouts to allow it to rest on specific sized bowls.
• A pin on the end of the handle to “hook” on any sized bowl.
• Plain (with no pin nor cutouts).

These variations are controlled by suppressing or un-suppressing the features.

Assembly

The only assembly is for the pin variation. Simply push the pin down into the hole from the top. It is likely a very snug fit (as it should be) and once it is inserted all the way, there is no easy removal as the release mechanism is internal. 

Printing

There are no special requirements. I used food safe PLA and printed with a .6 nozzle and .32 layer for speed.
