  • Lightweight and "somewhat modular" 3D printer enclosure.
  • Easy to build - Just a screwdriver. No funky drilling, soldering, cutting, sawing, heat insets.
  • Measures about 640 mm / 25.2 inch cube.
  • Does not take forever to print, does not burn a hole in your wallet.
  • Can double up as photography lightbox, soldering station, painting booth, recording booth.

A) Outer Frame - 2802 mins

  • 8 X A1 Corner - 540 mins
  • 24 X A2 Bar - 1476 mins
  • 5 X A3 T-Bar - 299 mins
  • 5 X A4 X-Bar - 379 mins
  • 1 X A5 Top Magnet Bar  - 42 mins
  • 1 X A6 Bottom Magnet Bar  - 66 mins

B) Panels - 1144 mins

  • 4 X B1 X-Bar - 204 mins
  • 4 X B2 X-Plate - 72 mins
  • 16 X B3 Bar - 716 mins
  • 16 X B4 Plate - 152 mins

C) Doors - 906 mins

  • 8 X C1 Corner (Set) - 190 mins
  • 12 X C2 Bar - 406 mins
  • 4 X C3 T-Bar (Set) - 170 mins
  • 2 X C4 Center Bar (Set) - 131 mins
  • 2 X C5 Door Knob - 9 mins

Total 4852 mins or 80.9 hours, that is about 3.3 days of continuous printing. You should be able to print all the parts within 4-5 days, complete the entire build within 1 week.

MY PRINT SETTINGS
  • 0.4mm nozzle, 0.25mm layer height, 0.42mm line width.
  • At least 3 walls, 3 top & bottom shell layers, 20% gyroid infill.
  • Optional - Alternate extra wall, in/out/in wall order.
  • Snug supports, 0.27mm top & bottom z distance, 2 interface layers, 1mm top interface spacing.
OPTIONAL PARTS

W) Honeycomb Storage Wall (HSW) - Mounts onto left and right sides of wall. Each wall requires:

  • 2 X W1 End Bar
  • 2 X W2 Center Bar
  • 1 X W3 Center Connector

X) Cable Management

  • X1 Cable Clip - Attach to any point, use these to hold cables.
  • X2 Grommet - Use as cable passthrough or ventilation.
    • Print the grommet.
    • Use grommet as template to cut a hole in the square sheet.
    • Mount the grommet.

Y) LED Holders

  • Y1 - A simple clip to hold 8mm LED strips under the HSW
  • Y2 26cm/10inch ring light holder - Print 4 of these, add 8X3mm magnets, attach to top wall. Stick magnet plates onto the ring light.

Z) Misc

  • Z1 - Reinforces A5-A6, reduces the slack.
  • Z2 - A simple magnet clip to hold photography backdrops in place. 
    • Print 2 X top mount, add 8*3mm magnets, attach to rear top A2 bars.
    • Print 2 X clips, add 8*3 magnets, slap on top of the mount.
    • Alternate - 2 X middle mount, attach to rear center B3 bars.
  • Z3 - TH05 temperature hygrometer holder, mounted on the door middle bar.
  • Z4 - Creality Nebula Camera holder. Add four 8X3mm to the holder, attach the holder to the door… Or anywhere you want to mount the camera.
NOTE : KIND-OF-MODULAR
  • You can add more “square sheets” along the depth and height.
  • But if you add more sheets along the width - You will have to somehow deal with the doors.

You can swap out plywood with corrugated sheets to reduce the cost, or use all clear plastic sheets.
